Manhattan Prewar Cooperative Apartment (2001-2002)

Manhattan Prewar Cooperative Apartment (2001-2002)

This apartment is located in a very large Chelsea prewar complex of buildings called London Terrace. The owner bought this apartment, which was originally a pair of side-by-side studios, combined by just cutting a door through the common wall. The space was drab, and in need of a proper combination. We set about completely gutting the entire space, only leaving the pair of original classic prewar black and white bathrooms. The new layout, which I designed, included a Living Room with a Library-Office nook, Dining Room, small Study/Guest Room, Kitchen, and interior Bedroom. This was a big agenda for a 980 square foot space. But it was a very successful project. The apartment has since changed hands several times, and seems to still sell quickly, and for top dollar.
